No, really, I think this might be fun. It can work to keep you accountable. You can use it as a reminder of what you want and check at the end of the year what you have achieved
I never do resolutions, but this year I decided to try something different. I have been thinking hard for 11 days about what would be my main resolutions for this year. I mean, there is so much I want to do an accomplish and putting everything down on a list will surely end up in disappointment at the end of the year. So, I thought it would be wiser to keep them limited and achievable. Of course I’m aiming to overpass them (and probably add more things), but I don’t want to add too much and end up up with “stress and overwhelm” as my first emotions of 2018.
BOOKS
– Participate in a bookish challenge-
β Beat the backlist by NovelKnight
– Read at least 4 books in another language (non-english) –
– Make book art/crafts after reading a book –
– Read 50 books –
LYFESTYLE
– Drink at least 1 glass of water everyday –
– Draw daily –
That’s it! Did you make a resolutions list? Why yes or why not?
Your post inspired me to sketch once again! Sorry about rambling earlier I was thinking out loud and it ended up typed out. LOL

So what other language do you think you’ll read in? And do you have any specific titles in mind yet? Or even genres?
I think that is a great goal, btw…

Oh! I forgot to mention that, thank you for pointing it out π Im planning to read in spanish and finnish. I am still hesitant about choosing a translated popular book or one that is originally in one of those languages. My first pick will be a finnish translated version of “A day late and a dollar short” by Terry McMillan (bought the book ages ago, so that’s why i will star from there). About genre, I’m aiming at YA and fantasy, i want enjoyable stories to make up for the struggle that will come from reading in finnish π

These are some great New Year’s resolutions! I hope you manage to accomplish them all. Some are definitely easier than others but without a good challenge, life would be too boring right? π
Best of luck, Alicia!

Thank you! I like that number, 100 books sounds satisfying so satisfying π. I originally thought about 48 books for this year (4 each month) but 50 gave me peace of mind π. Oh! I have heard about that one! I thought about joining, but Im intimidated by it π I think i might join that one and Full House reading challenge, but I dont want to try everything at once (like when mass requesting at NetGalley π). Good luck to you too!

Iβve never read that many books in a year but I thought it would be fun to try. Itβs less intimidating then you think. I participated last year and only missed two letters. The hardest part is coming up with books for those hard letter like x and z and q. Yeah you definitely donβt want to try everything at once because you will end up stressing yourself out over it probably. Thank you!!
